Truck: 2000 DAK 4.7 4x4 Automatic
Was driving down the freeway in crui9se about 70mph, got check gagues, and the volt meter was MAXed out. I pulled over, poped the hood, visually inspected the engine compartment, by the time I got back in the cab, the dash had returned back to normal.
Made it home fine, needed to go to the store about an hour later that evening and the truck was dead. I tried to start it a few times and got not much outta the starter, and when I released the key back to (ACC.?) the relays started rapidly clicking on and off on their own. I tried a few more times and then I got a big spark from the negitive battery post. | pulled the terminals and cleaned then and the truck started and worked like normal. The next day I replaced the battery under warrenty. The problem got worse and time progressed and it started to get a jumpy shift. |I took it that evening to my buddies shop. |On the way The MIL light turned on. Changed the trans fluid and filters, checked connnections, made sure they were tight. Connected the battery back up then went home.
The problem got way worse. Got a buddie to check the problem out, he found codes P0700 in the dash. So |I rented a CODE Scanner, and it read P0733 and ||P0734.
Cleaned the codes witht he scan tool. Troblem came back immediaatly. Droped the pan, checked linkage, checked tps, checked valves, speed sensors (without actyually spinning sensors) checked all kinds of stuiff.
Took it to the dealership. They cant figure it out. Now I'm stuck with the truck and I took all the connectors apart I could find, sprayed them out with contact cleaner, and the p0734 dissappeared. but still have p0733..... did I miss a connector? anyone have a wireing diagram or a clue that can hekp me? it's my only mode of transportation and I need HELP BADLY...
