Message:
what is the advantage of brass cap and rotors over standard aluminum style.

how has your luck been with 8.5 mm msd super conductor wires in terms of reliability and longjevity

thanks

Aluminum corrodes much easier than brass. I use the MSD 8.5mm plug wires and they work just fine.

Top quality 8 or 8.5 mm plug wires are the way to go. by top quality I mean silicon wires and valconized connecters at both ends. Brass cap and roter last much longer and brass passes electric voltage much better then aluminum.

So many problems .... So little time

I have the accel brass cap and rotor, along with the 8.5 superconductor wires. The cap and rotor where a necessity when I installed my accel 300+ digital ignition with the high output coil. the stock aluminum cap was goig into meltdown after just one week.

aluminum is a better conductor, but the secondary part of the ignition system has thousands of ohms of resistance to begin with. brass lasts longer

Copper is a better conductor - which brass is made up of. But besides that, the brass contacts do last longer than any of those silver colored looking contacts.
