Subject: Window Regulator IP: Logged
Message: Hello all!
I took my 2001 Didge Dakota to the dealer yesterday to try and have them switch out my rear window regulator out and left without success. I told the service manager to go to hell because he wanted to charge me $400 and the part wouldn't be there until Tuesday. I got pissed because I had the front (passenger side) done there last year for $250...I felt he was trying to pull a fast one. My question is...is there a price diff between the front and back windows? And how hard is it to change?
Thanks!

Message: Yes, it is a quad cab. It looks like it might do-able, but is that all it was...new cable? How much does that assembaly usually run if I were to purchase it? I look on the net and saw prices from $60 - $80, but it was for the front. Is there a difference?

Message: Izzy, the dealership said it was the window regulator...is that what the website illustrates? I'm not an experienced mechanic, but for what they quoted me, I would rather try to fix it myself. Do you have more detail on how to repair?

Message: I'm really pissed. Replacing my 3rd Window regulator in my under 40K miles 2000 Dodge Durango. I think it's time for a class action lawsuit.
