Subject: 4.7l HELP ME IP: Logged
Message: i have a '04 4.7l and have installed a k&n intake, airaid tbi spacer and now i am having trouble w/ sluggishness and the service eng. light stays on all the time. i am assuming this is due to the increase in air flow but i cant seem to find a way to remedy the problem. is adding a chip or programmer the way to go or what. i didnt expect less performance out of the mods. someone help me

Message: Well first thing I'd chuck that TB spacer out the window since it's not going to do anything.
And the extra air, what little, from the intake filter wont cause any problems. The engine should adjust from sea level to the air starving high altitude climates and adjust just fine.
I'd check your code by turning your key to on-off-on-off-on without ever turning to engage the starter and it will display the trouble code in your dash. otherwise get it scanned at Checker or Autozone.
I think maybe a sensor is left unplugged. Like your Throttle Position Sensor.
That would cause you problems for sure.

Message: 4.7L engines don't have a MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor.
They have a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor.
