Subject: injector ?? for Bernd IP: Logged
Message: I read a previous post where you stated to be careful when buying the FMS injectors, because the impedence is different. Can you tell me what impedence I need to look for? I am considering getting the 19# or 24# injectors. Which would you recommend for my application? Thanks.

Message: For a 4x4, stick with the 50mm TB to keep the bottom end TQ. With all those mods, the factory injectors will still keep up. However, you can run the 24# Design-III injectors but would watch the fuel (rich) on the bottom end with an A/F meter...just to make sure it's not too rich.
The correct injectors for the '01+ models are the "XR3E" 24# injectors.

Message: Thanks Bernd! So do you think the FMS 19# injectors would be fine for my application? I would use these if they're sufficient, and will do away with the rich problem you described. If these will work, what part# do you recommend? I know that there are some Ford Racing 19# injectors: are these different than the standard 19# ones, and will they work without any problems?
Thanks for your help.
