Subject: 94 4x4 remove starter? IP: Logged
Message: 94 4x4 318, My starter is on the way out. to get it out, I guess I need to unhook the bottom end of the steering gear? or arm?, not sure what its called, my haynes manual isn't to clear on exactly what I need to remove.
It says a pin, but I don't see one, can I just undo the bolt at the end where it joins the steering gear and swing it out of the way? or do I have to undo the part that looks like a mini u-joint - and if I need to undo that, how? is that a giant pin going through it?
Thanks for any help!
