Message: I've heard if you OVER-size the pipes, it takes away from Low end... If you go for true duals, get an X-pipe or H-pipe! They are good for keeping exhaust pulses even and help in scavenging...
But for a 318 4x4, I'd say GO FOR IT! I wouldnt go over a 3" pipe though...

Message: hey i would say if you run true duals get 2 and a quarter inch with an h or x-pipe. I got my duals on my 69 coronet of course its a big block so i got 2 and a half inch. But my uncle is the biggest mopar fan and he said for small block its best to go with a lil smaller. My duals took away no torque and helped alot on top. Ive got flowmaster 50 series and love them. o yea about fuel mileage i wouldnt know cause i get about 10 all the time lol. well my thoughts.

Message: Sweet - my first car was a '70 Coronet with a 318 I added headers and 2 1/2" dual system to - didn't notice any loss of low end. I think dual 2 1/2 is still fine for the newer 318.
Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Message: I've got a 70 Challenger big block car with tubes and 2.5 inch duals, it didn't have an H-pipe when I got it, I welded a summit universal kit up and put it in and I actually noticed a huge gain in low and midrange... I have a 4.7 in my dakota and have a full 2.5" single exhaust and it breathes just fine however.. If you tow or work with your truck I'd keep the exhaust small.. You've got to figure your exhaust ports in your heads are only 1x1" or so and they feed to a 2 1/4" outlet on your manifold and the truck breathes great through your factory 2.5" exhaust and single cat and reverse flow muffler...
Just a few thoughts

Message: I am putting my 93 back together and I want to put long tube headers on it. Does anyone have any ideas where to get these from.I know KRC sells them but I don't want to spend 800 bucks on them.
Does the 91 5.2 head have the same exhaust ports on them as the 93? I can't remember. Thanks for the help.......
