Subject: Still overheating ???? IP: Logged
Message: Hi ,some time ago I had overheating problems for a long time ,I changed everything on the damn truck( 99 R/T ) finally I bought on of these fans at this place www.dccontrol.com this 18 inch fan is the best thing I have ever tried I can't get the temperature to go up now, it stay at 170 to 180 even with the ac on, the only thing is you will have to trim the shroud like 1/2 inches in the front for it to fit, check the CFM rate this fan has .I know there are a lot of HOT daks out there .

Message: one thing you can do to stop overheating. If you look past your mech. cooling fan there should be an elec. fan for your a/c,you can hard wire that to a switch in the cab and your troubles are gone.

Message: You can get them on ebay for less than $100.
and why my truck was overheating I really don,t know seems the clutch fan and the flexalite 150 could not cool the engine properly, maybe Im running too much timing, but like I said its running fine now with this fan

Message: I tried the flexalite blackmagic on my '93 and it was slightly too fat to fit between the engine and the radiator.
I'm glad I sent it back now that I hear its not powerful enough to cool the engine.

Message: Tried a flexalite 180 extreme on my 98 5.2. Found it not even close to being adequate. When I contacted the company they pretty much said yeah, we know, but tough sh!t.
