Message: If you don't fluch it, you leave behind a lot of fluid. 5 qts of clean fluid + 1 qt dirty fluid = 6 qts of dirty fluid.
You can have it done without dropping the pan and changing the filter. But I wouldn't. I always want a new filter, and I'll pay for it. Some people are so cheap that they won't. It's up to you.

Message: I would flush. I have done it by dropping the pan before. Makes a mess and you can't get all the fluid out anyway.
You can flush it yourself too. Get a piece of hose and a couple gallon milk jugs. Drop the pan, change the filter and put in a new Mopar reusable gasket. Those cork ones suck. Put it back to gether. Add the required amount of fluid. Disconnect the tranny fluid line from the radiator cooler, use a 3/8 barb splice to connect your hose and run it to your milk jug. Turn on the truck, take it out of park so the tranny actually starts circulating fluid and it will pump it right out of the tranny into your jug. Continue adding fresh fluid as the dirty stuff is pumped out. When the jug gets close to full shut off the truck, get a new jug and resume. It will be real obvious when you start pumping clean fluid, then you can stop. Reconnect your hose lines and you are done.
