Message: I am looking to buy a 99 v-8 Dakota.109,000 miles.I started it and it had a rough idle(800rpm) and then it just kicked up to about 1500 rpm and then right back down but still rough. Then it did it again after idling for maybe a 1/2 minute or so.I did not take it out for a test drive so I don't know any more than that.Any ideas out there? Thanks

Message: I'vr got a 2000 SLT 4.7 with 103,000 miles on it. I brought it in to have all the fluids changed, hoses checked everything. One thing it was doing before was like your reving in park or just driveing around (with constant pressure on the accellerator). I was told that it might be a cloged injector. I put cleaner in my gas and it helped a bit, but still rev's for no reason. I've got to bring it back to the shop. I'll let you know what the guy says.

Message: I'd start by cleaning the throttle body, including the IAC. If that doesn't take care of it, could be bad TPS.

Message: I,m not for sure what the IAC is or TPS.How much $'s are we talking. Are they something I can replace or do I have to take to a dealer? Another thing I forgot was a pretty bad hesitation when I accelerated it.
