Message: im sure some of you guys have the mopar perf.cam Part # 5249549....what is your opinion of that particular cam shaft and would you recomend something diffrent like 1.7 rr with the stock cam instead of just a diffrent cam or a diffrent cam all together.....heres my situation im lookin for more torque in the mid to upper range.... ive already got the free flowing exhaust except for headers...also a homebrew cold air intake and im lookin to port my tb.....and ive been told that if i have a leaking plenum gasket that it takes away some performance... so let me know what you think thanks by the way ive got a 93 318 4x4

Message: I put an M-1 intake on my 93 4x2 and noticed alot of middle to hi range torque with a drop off at about 3800rpm.That is most likly due to hi milage on the engine.
I have M-1 intake, catback exhaust, hedman headers and for cold air I have a sixpack style hood and more on the way..

Message: on the description it says..."Run's well with Mopar PCM, and KRC 6000 valvesprings and headers"...i know it would only help but do i really need these additional parts to make that cam work right...i only ask because i will barely be able to afford the cam alone......but i asked about the mopar r/t cams performance because i can get it fairly cheap and it comes with lifters as well....any feedback is appreciated

Message: It will run fine without the headers but you do need to upgrade your valvesprings - you need to upgrade them also if you run the R/T cam.
