Message: Kyle: I'm no mechanic but it sounds like a bad fuel pump(judging by what you said about having to hit the gas tank). One question for you: has your gas gauge ever acted funny? i.e. bouncing around, showing empty all the time? I had a 95 dak that had both problems, and after changing the fuel pump/gas guage sending unit (it's all one part) the truck ran great. A dirty fuel filter could be also the problem. Hope this helps.
