Subject: Limited slip? How do I know IP: Logged
Message: How do I know if I have a limited slip differential? I've read alot of posts about a grinding noise, and it being solved by changing the fluid. but I really don't know if I have a limited slip or not. Mine's a 94 5.2 4x4 SLT.
Thanks for any help.

Message: Jack up the back. put it in nuetral. turn 1 back tire. If the other one turns the same way, you have Anti-Spin(when did they stop calling it sure-grip?). If the other one turns the opposite way or not at all, you have a one wheel peeler.

Message: Only shure-fire way is to open up the diff. Especially
if there is grinding noise! If it has the spider gears,
it's an open end. You can also check the RPO sticker in
the glove box if you know the code, but opening up the
rear is best.
