Message: What you're looking for is the firing order. It's 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. The distributer rotates counter clock wise. From the factory, the #1 tower is at about 8 o'clock, from the front of the engine.
Set the engine at TDC on the #1 compression stroke. The rotor will point to the #1 tower.

Message: Oh, and if you havn't rotated the distributer, don't. I had a '95, and the distributer did not control timing, it controlled fuel injector pulses. I'm not sure if the 93 is the same. But if you screw it up, you'll have to take it to a shop to fix it.
