Subject: 180 t-stat and coolant IP: Logged
Message: I was reading in my manual and it states something about an organic hybrid coolant or something like that. and it doesn't have to be change for 100K miles. If I change the t-stat can I get this coolant at the local autoparts store. I don't feel comfortable putting the "caught" coolant back in the system. I would rather put stuff fresh from the bottle back in. Just a personal thing.

Message: thanks for the info. When I looked at the posts about changing the t-stat, I didn't see anything about coolant issues. When I did do the t-stat chage I was going to go with the new stuff (not so toxic), that is when I saw in the manual not to use the new "non-toxic" A/F. Again thanks for the info.
