Subject: Major short-circuit...

Alright, I don't know what exactly happened, but two or three days ago I started smelling burning circuitry inside the cab. I limped it home and found the headlight-switch to be burned to a crisp, along with a majorly disfigured connector. I bought a new switch today and made sure no connections were touching. I then turned on just the parking-lights, and the thing got so hot it turned orange! I then started my testing with a small multi-tester.

I found that all three connectors on each bulb were connected somehow. I got continuity across them, no matter which ordr I tried them in. I then tried the same thing on the connector that plugs into the light-switch. Sure enough, they're fused somewhere. How can I locate the problem? All the wires are in hoses wrapped in heat-resistant tape. I have no clue where to start aside from buying a wiring-harness and having it installed. I mean I am NOT an electronics guy and wouldn't know what to do. I tried tracking the wires but they split off into so many locations I gave up.

Any suggestions?

F*ck you kid, I was right and while it may not be right for a different model, it IS right for mine. It is children like you who manage to screw-up places like this. If we actually had this board admined you guys would be long gone and you'd have to do something besides post nonsense after school. Grow up, get out, and get a life. I already found out what I needed to know about my problem, but I always post here first, in case I can't.
