Subject: Decent Electric Fan?? IP: Logged
Message: Is there a decent electric radiator fan out there? I want at least 3500CFM, but even the famous Black-Magic can only manage a low 2800CFM. I found a PermaCool that could do 2950CFM, which is only a hair better. Can one of you point me to a fan that can pull of at LEAST 3250CFM? Thanks.

Message: Pick up a fan out of a Lincoln Mark VIII. It will move up to 4000 CFM. I think the Mustang guys started using them first, but I have seen installs in Rams, Chevy Trucks/Suburbans and a couple Daks. It is an 18" fan, I think, that runs at two speeds. I am planning on putting one on my 92 when I get the chance. Houston Performance sells them for $179.99+shipping. I have seen some pop up in junkyards as well if you do not mind a used part. Check car-part.com.
I have seen a bunch of websites detailing the install in Mustangs, Landcruisers and various trucks.
