Message: for the 5.2/5.9/3.9, the FIPK is gonna be the best choice. It's just not adding a high flow filter. besides the heat shield, the tunnel on it is tuned for better air flow and the shape of the hat that comes on it decreases turbulance going into the throttle body. If you ever look at it, you can see it caused a swirl effect into the throttle body.
I had one, a edelbrock pro-flo, and a home-brew and the k&n was the best choice.
6.6 Lt. Big Block, 727 TF shift kit, 452 heads, edelbrock 750 cfm, .513/.513 284/300 crower cam, comp cams springs, comp cams pushrods, 1.5 roller rockers, dp intake, mopar ignition, mopar windage tray, dual exhaust w/ 40 series flowmasters, 4.10 gears, coilover drag suspension, approx, 3500 lbs

Message: 220 sounds like the best price your gonna find...homebrew's look sikening under a hood. I got my FIPK for 200, which is just above wholesale price while I was working for a K&N licensed distibutor... the K&N wholesale (which is the price most dealers pay) is 190... Id go for the 220 price! REMEBER TO relocate your IAT when you get it! both the FIPK and IAT relocation will get you at least 10-20 Rear Wheel HP! it'll save you on fuel costs too, (if you can keep your foot outta the gas!)

Message: Its easy... the only things you'll need are a 1/2in brass fitting to plug up the hole in the intake, and a drill with a 1/2 bit. it should be on the right front of the intake. Drill a 1/2 hole in the intake tube about 6-8 inches before the hat, make sure that your wires will reach to where you place it. unplug & remove the IAT, and install into the FIPK, if doing on a stock tube, you'll need sealant, but the FIPK is so thick, it'll screw right into it. what it does is 'tricks' the computer into thinking that the Incoming Air Temp is lower, sitting in the intake, its reading at 190 degrees, in the tube it's going to register about 90 degrees! feeds it a more progressive fuel curve. by far the cheapest and easiest 5 RWHP you can gain.
