Subject: Thermostat IP: Logged
Message: Ok, I have a 5.2L 318 with Mopar Perormance Comp, headers, True Dual Exhuast with hight flow everything. Would changing the thermostat to the 180 or 160 do anything..

Message: The idea behind a lower temp thermo is to get the engine to run at a colder temp. This allows for the fuel/air mix to burn slower allowing your computer to advance the timing a bit. You can get "more" power out of your engine but I doubt if you would be able to notice anything.

Message: 180 is already a colder temp than stock. I would stay with that. Going too cold introduces the possibility for several problems.
