Message: I've done a lot of reading from topics posted on this board in the past months, because I had the same question you do. From what I've gathered from those that have had bad luck with the stock setup (including me) is:
* Go with a good slotted rotor (such as the Powerslots ~$99/piece) and stay away from drilled rotors, because they are more prone to cracking around the holes.
* It's kind of up in the air about pads, but I see a lot of references to Hawk pads and Raybestos QS pads. It also seemed that everyone was divided when it came to the Raybestos pads, but not much negativatiy was pointed toward the Hawks.
* I'd stay away from ceramic pads, I've heard more bad than good about them. I've personally never ran ceramic pads, but it seems like ceramics would hold more heat, which in turn would be more prone to warping your rotors.
good luck,
Neil from South Dakota

Message: You might want to re-think your desicion about ceramic pads. on the contrary to what no legs had to say about how much heat they hold, ceramics are not a good condutor of heat it resists heat very well and what heat it does retain from friction it disapates very quickly. They would be very good for what you are looking for.
