I've got a '92 5.2L with a 3" exhaust split into 2 straight pipes after the muffler, how much HP can be gained by havin two straight pipes from the engine, 2 mufflers, etc?

I'm pretty sure that its illegal in most states to convert to true duals, unless youre driving a classic car. Something with the smog laws. Check into it, but I think any shop will tell you they cant do it.

I got a CAT BACK Dual Exhaust and have both tips out the back. I got about 20 more horses and better gas mileage. The muffler reduces the flow -- thus reducing the power. Plus the CAT BACK system sounds awesome.
