As a prospective r/t buyer, i'd like to consult with you wise folks about some general info.

The r/t I've got my eye on is an '00 club cab with 27kmi, I'd aim to pay no more than 14-14.5, am I a sucker?

should i scrape a few more bones together and get a new 4.7 5spd.?

Which is quicker (seems pretty debatable either way)?

in a cc v. rc r/t, is there a big performance difference, I like the extra room, but its nothing i cant live without?

I suppose thats it, If I buy it, i'll be asking some more stupid questions

Thanks

CC vs RC will be about 1-2 tenths quicker stock, but the gap closes once the times start dropping, but an RC will always be quicker due to weight. As far as a 4.7 5spd, they are about as quick as a R/T stock for stock, but there are so many more performance parts available for the 5.9 and it is a tried and true motor that has been around basically unchanged for 30+ years. Also, you can get a Mopar PCM for a '00 or older R/T for under $300. Depending on mods and condition of the truck, I owudl say anything more than $14K is too much.
