Subject: Dumped Exhaust: IP: Logged
Message: I have a 00 R/T and right now I have a custom made 2.5" downpipe into a 3" cat. and a 3" mid pipe, into a Gibson muffler dumped. I think that it is to loud in the cab and I want to run some pipe out the back and I am not sure if I should run single 3" or dual 2.5". What do you guys think would be the best setup??

Message: well the dual setup will be little louder, and sound a little better, but causing u to lose a litle more torque then with the single.hope that helps.

Message: If you only run duals after the muffler, it's all for looks. So depending on what you want for looks will make your choice. Each will perform just the same since you won't change the muffler forward on your exhaust.

Message: Thats what I mean, as of right now I have the 3" pipe from the muffler forward. Did I go to big with that or is that a good setup. I want to quiet the noise in the cab thats why I want to run pipes out the back. I just dont want to lose any power so I am not sure what size to run...

Message: On a R/T, 3" cat backs are the standard and only help performance.
