Message: I have been searching for a CARB approved cold air intake/filter for my '01 4.7L. K&N does not offer one yet...but they do offer one for the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L, but the filter is on the wrong side of the engine compartment. Can I use it and simply flip it over so the filter is the correct side? Would it still be CARB approved? Does anyone have a manufacturer they prefer...Airaid, Volant? Is the Airforce One kit CARB approved yet?

Message: I got this on ebay and works fine. Why not leave your stock intake on when get emissions tested and then put this on at other times? It sounds excellent and I got a 3mpg increase. CARB is just a label and this intake does not change your emissions at all. It just has not been through the California paper approval process.

Message: This sounds great...do you have any idea about your Hp gain or Torque gain? Could it be 11 Hp as in Airaid? I'm in SoCal were it gets really hot in the desert...have you noticed any problem with the ABS pipe becoming soft or disconfigured? Was there any problems with space fitting this thing in your engine bay?

Message: I was more interested in mpg gain. I am sure the hp gain is similiar to other intakes of the same design. I operated my intake in the summer heat of las vegas and had no problems. Fit was no problem.
