Subject: shifting in a R/T IP: Logged
Message: I was just wonder if anyone else has problems shifting in their R/Ts? Well heres the problem about every time that I really stomp it off the line and it starts to shift to 2nd but then it hits of rev. limiter. I just then got a new torque converter put in it, could that be the problem. I just then started doing it really bad today.

Message: Actually that's why I was looking around the forums today. My 2002 R/T with 12000 miles started doing that recently and it's bone stock. The other day I was doing 25 and nailed the gas to pass a car and it hit the rev limiter and wouldn't shift into second gear until I let up on the throttle for a bit. Anyone else having this issue?

Message: It's nothing you can do about it, you'll have to drop the tranny pan and adjust some stuff. The dealer took care of that problem. It's a well know problem.

Message: Go to the search bar and type in WOT part 2. I had the same problem guys! On the left side of the throttle body there is a cable for the tranny (sorry cant recall the name offhand) with a white clip on it! What I did was first take a marker or something to mark where the cable was stock! Then take the white clip off! You can see little notches kinda like gears where the clip was! Move it up (torward the front of the truck) 2 clicks at a time! Then put the clip back on and test it!
Before I couldnt shift manually or in drive without hittin the limiter! Now I can do it when I manually shift and it shifts right at 4800. So I am happy with it!
Any questions feel free to ask!
