Message: I have a 99 5.2 5 speed with 54,000 miles can anyone tell me a GOOD cap and rotor to use and where to buy it (Pep boys, Auto Zone, etc.)

Message: You should get a "Borg-Warner Select" cap and rotor, they are one of the very few with brass contacts for better conductivity. I got mine at O'Rielly's, but I think PepBoys and NAPA has them, but AutoZone does not.

Message: if I remember correctly the borg-warner's are just branded but that exact set is molded/sold under many names. I got mine from napaonline.com for like 15 bucks for both. Very thick plastic, nice brass contacts on both. If you doing this fork up an extra 50-80 bones for a nice set of wires. I got the jba's for like 54 bucks, that day I installed the rotor/cap/wires/autolites and my truck started quicker and idled better.
