Message: I've always been a fan of Flowmaster. I've also been thinking about replacing the stock system on my 4.7 but I don't want to be "that guy in the neighborhood with the loud truck". What about performance? Gains losses? Full dual system or not?

Message: Ya, i have the same kind of question BJ does. Do true duals give you more horsepower than just getting the regular duals that split from 1 to 2 at the muffler?

Message: True duals "can" give you more HP, if you get the right setup, and know what other mods to do to take advantage of the increased flow characteristics. True duals alone may not give you much, if anything. But true duals with a bigger throttle body, cold air/ram air intake, HO Intake Manifold, HO Cams, and some PCM tweaking will give you great gains overall. You can do all of that for under $1000 if you shop around, and it will launch you into the 14's or better (I'm mid 14's with a club cab auto 4.7L). Then the next step would be long tube headers and ported heads with larger valves, and maybe custom lightweight pistons and connecting rods. There are 13's right there easily (still completely N/A). Run a 100 shot of N2O after slight upgrades to your fuel system (and colder plugs), and you're in the high 12's or better. by that time you're at about $4-5K in mods (with labor included). Not too shabby for an inexpensive V8 RWD vehicle (and computer controlled/FI to boot).

Message: What exactly does a Kat Box do? I mean, does it allow you to remove the cat, or cats and still pass emissions? I would really appreciate it if someone could explain it to me. Thanks

Message: MIL: Malfunction Indicator Light.
The O2Simm may get you through emissions depending on where you live. In Maryland they don't do the tailpipe and roller test anymore, now they just hook a data cable to the OBDII port and read the codes. No codes, they think all is fine and you pass.
