Subject: R/T exhaust IP: Logged
Message: i have a 2000 r/t reg. cab w/ mopar headers and MBRP cat-back on the exhaust side. I want to open it up more by means of the cat. But u cant just take it off though right?(o2 sensor) what can i do?

Message: You can always put a high flow cat on it. Car Sound makes a great high flow cat, and its not too expensive.

Message: Or you could always just remove the cat, keep the pre-cat O2 sensor in the pipe, and tie the rear O2 sensor to the frame rail and you willnot pop any check engine lights. Or if all else, buy an O2 simm box.

Message: when you get an 02 simm box does it attatch to the o2 sensors before and after the precat or just after? and wat do i do with the one before the precat? this is on a 2002 r/t

Message: The O2 sim only hooks to the O2 sensor after the cat. The one before that cat needs to stay in the exhaust pipe. The O2 simm simmulates(sim=simulate) the voltages the O2 would normally send to the PCM during normal operation with a good working cat.

Message: so on my 2002 r/t would i have to do a custom exhaust job to get the front o2 sensors to stay in the pipe?
