Subject: will they fit??

I have a '99 Dakota Sport Clubcab that I have recently brought back to stock height. It was lowered 3". I was cruising the dakota sites and came across a truck featured in the members' pages called Y2kota. Really nice looking truck. What really stood out to me was the tires. The truck is sporting the same 15" wheels as what I have on my '99, but it has 31x10.5's. That's the factory tire size for 4x4 dakotas if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, I love the look of big beefy tires and I was wondering...Has the truck been raised or do the tires really fit? I've done some measuring around the wheel well area of my truck and looks like it would be really tight, specifically on the front. Any information on this subject would be great. I'm hoping to put the same size tires on my truck as the Y2kota. I just don't want to look like a jackass when I have to argue over whether or not the tires will fit my truck. The last tire guy I talked to told me I was crazy for thinking I could get a tire that size under a 2wheel drive Dakota. Thanks for any info.
