Message: Hey guys, Ive got a question for you all. Theres a dealer down the street here thats got a new 01 Motorsports Dak sitting on his lot. Its fully loaded (including Infinity sound), 4.7, 5 speed, <500 miles, I wanna say 3.55 gears and maybe the posi. Its brand new but there isnt a market for sport type pickups down here in rural Va. He's got it marked down for 15995. What do you think would be a good starting point for this truck, $$ wise? Should I look into it? Ive heard great things about Daks so Id like to know. One more thing, the sticker says 15 city/ 20 hwy. Is that about what you guys can get driving normally? Thanks

Message: i would say that that is a resonable price. last year i bougth a dak that has the same drivetrain, but not as many options, and paid 16,440. this was my first big purchase, so i dont have many baragining skills. the mileage is very close to that, i average 17-18.

Message: I (almost) bought a Black 2001 Motorsports Dak last summer. 4.7/5 speed/3.92 lsd. Mint shape with 21K miles. I could have had it for $11,000.
There is a new Red 2002 Dakota, regular cab, Auto/4.7/3.55 gears, that the local dealer is asking $13,995 for after rebates.

Message: I'd buy it personally. It's a good looking truck (I might be biased).

Message: I looked at them when I was in the market for a Dakota - at the time they had a brand new '01 Motorsports Edition Dakota on the lot that I could have got for $14,500 - 4.7 auto , 3.92's but it was a Reg Cab and I needed a Club Cab .
I ended up getting a '99 CC with a 318/a500/3.55's with 31,000 miles for $11,500.
If they will knock 2-3k off the price then it would be a pretty good deal.
