hey guys ... i was just wondering i have a 2k1 dakota rt and im not really sure but... removing the third cat isnt bad for ur truck is it.. my dad keeps telling me that its bad, but i really dont see why it is, the older cars had no cats and they ran sweet.. at least my brothers 68 charger does.. anywaz.. if someone could let me know that would be great

No, is not bad for your truck. But it is for the environment, that's why they put it there. You can remove the third cat and if there is an O2 sensor after the cat, you have to trick the computer to make it think it still have the cat. Otherwise is going to throw a CODE.

P.S. If you do remove the cat, make sure you don't turn on your truck in a close room like a garage. Someone down here just died yesterday because he was warming up his car (with no cat)in the garage and his windows were rolled down. The gases and carbon dioxide quickly put him to sleep before he could realize, aside from beign early in the morning and he problably doze off a little bit while car was warming up.
