Subject: Takes a long time to Start?

I have a 4.7L Dodge Dakota 2000 and I have left it alone no droven or taken anywhere in the 90 degree weather and I tried to start it to day and now it takes like 3 seconds to start, does anybody know the problem?

next time it sits for a while turn the key to on for a second. then crank it. If it fires immediatly it is just the fuel system needing to pressurize.

Mine was the same way, THe HO cams are actually what solved the problem. It runs and drives 100% better with these. Can't tell why this happened...
