Subject: Takes a long time to Start? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 4.7L Dodge Dakota 2000 and I have left it alone no droven or taken anywhere in the 90 degree weather and I tried to start it to day and now it takes like 3 seconds to start, does anybody know the problem?

Message: next time it sits for a while turn the key to on for a second. then crank it. If it fires immediatly it is just the fuel system needing to pressurize.

Message: Mine was the same way, THe HO cams are actually what solved the problem. It runs and drives 100% better with these. Can't tell why this happened...
