Message: Don't just remove it.
You need to balance the braking front/rear. That's why there is a proportioning valve.
Replace it.

Message: i would replace it but i am having a tough time finding one. nothing at the jyard and i can't find a new one. i've heard someone else say they are crazy expensive if you get a new one. maybe i will just do it and see what happens. i know i will get full strength at all the wheels and i guess i don't understand why that is a bad thing.

Message: It is also a safety issue..
If something happens to one brake line or brake cylinder , with the 'valve' working properly
then the other end wheels can still be braked
as opposed to TOTAL loss of braking..
