Message: Might help if you told the guys specifically what category it failed in, and by how much. Also if you have done any mods to the truck, and the milage.

Message: How bad where the plugs you took out ? I don't think you needed to reset the PCM for the plug change, now you will have to drive it until the testing station doesn't see the PCM as being recently reset. Not sure how much driving that will be; too bad you didn't ask before resetting the computer.

Message: High HC readings come from incomplete combustion. Best place to start is to make sure the ignition is working properly: new plugs, make sure the coils are working properly. Beyond that you'd need to make sure your injectors are not faulty.
Is the truck consuming oil? That could account for extra hyrdocarbons being present in the cylinder that don't get burnt completely.
