Message: i have a 01 dakota 4.7 L 4x4, i am thinking of putting in a K&N cold air intake, i was wondering if anyone has, and could tell me if it is worth it or not? Thanks

Message: While I think that's the only one that's ever dynoed a gain for the 4.7, it's pretty much all at the highest rpms. Does your motor see lots of time at those revs ?

Message: I added a K&N to my 2005 Quad V8 Laramie. The truck sounds a lot better, but I can't honestly say I feel any power difference. Unless I plan on living in the 4k RPM range the dyno results K&N publish support that I won't feel any difference. What I did get was about 1.5MPG improvement. My truck has 75k miles on it and I put the K&N on about 10k miles ago. I went from 14.9MPG to 16.4MPG. Nothing else other than oil changes were done to the truck.
