Subject: Buttons not working
IP: Logged

Message:
I've encountered several instances of buttons not working in my
97 dakota 4wd. I'm posting to see if there are any common fixes
for any of them. They include:

-overdrive. Used to work most of the time, now not at all.

-overhead lights. Sometimes come on when I turn ignition on
but never by just pressing the button.

-cruise control. Usually turns on but sometimes doesn't...is
actually more reliable now than when I first got the truck.

Any suggestions? TIA.

Central timer module controls all that.
Check all the connectors by unplugging them then plugging them back in to renew the connections. See if that fixes it.
