Message: The power sucks, its because its got a vacume leak somewhere and also I might have some carbon build up in the EGR valve. I'm shure that would cut down power; But I will say this, It had some great power I got those problems fixed and add a Magnaflow Performance exhaust.
Its a 4x4, It not the type of off-road truck that you would take on the Jeep trails.
It gets around 14-16 MPG, because of the cold weather down here in the State of Tennesse (so much for global warming) and I think it might have to do with the use of Ethanol in the gas.

Message: STS,
If you really want a reliable Dodge truck. Then go with the Gen 3 Dakota (or D-Dakota) as some might call it. Yes the power is no all there, But you can get a 6 speed for the (4.7L) and you don't have to worry about the balljoints issues for a long time.

Message: go to autos.yahoo.com and pick a large city near you and set the max distance of 300 miles then pick your years and make/model.
it's not going to be easy, you will need to do some work.
i sent you an email about doing this, perhaps it went to your spam folder?
I'm located in georgia, I found 1 in florida with 5.2L

Message: Hey I've got a 95 black, regular cab, 360, 5-speed, dakota. The engine is built up nicely. Capable of 13s 1/4 mile times... Still needs a few things, but a cool truck none the less. I tried e-mailing you, but it came back undelivered. e-mail if you are interested. I have been debating on whether to sell it or not. I would really like an old dart or duster... dakota1994@hotmail.com and I am in the detroit area...

Message: Nope, still using the stock NV3500 with about 128k miles on it. I had the 5th gear fork fixed when I first bought it. The trans shop had it all torn apart and everything was fine. It does have a rebuilt centerforce clutch in it. So far so good. I am planning swapping an 8 3/4 in this winter.

Message: Ok, So you just running a stock 360 Motor (250HP)
I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a 318 out of a 01 Ram and putting it into a '96 Dakota with a NV3500 HD 4x4 with 3:92.1 gears. Now that would be my dream truck.

Message: No, it's built up a bit also... The previous owner built the motor and installed it. He used to be on a few dakota boards, Sam South is his name. He moved away to Texas...
It is a MP short block with ported heads, roller rockers, hughes cam, MPI intake, 21 lbs injectors, MP computer, K&N intake. It is a pretty nice engine. I haven't had it dynoed, but maybe someday... The guy I bought it from had timeslips of 13/6 at 106...
I have a few pictures posted here:

Most of them are kind of old.. any other questions let me know...
