Subject: transmission misses shifts @ WOT IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone know why late 90's to early 2000's Dodges with V8 automatics have the problem of missing shifts? I can't use more than half throttle or the transmission will completely miss a shift.
I have a 2000 R/T with only 46,000 miles. It used to only miss downshifting to passing gear on WOT. Now it will miss every shift if you hold it to the floor.

Message: i don't think it is as common a problem as you make it to be. i haven't seen it mentioned on here before. have you had the trans serviced recently? have you checked for any codes?

Message: Try checking your TV cable. Check your fluid level and or change it. How to do these things can be found in any basic repair manual.
Generally these things don't down shift the same above 60 as they do below 60. You didn't include a lot of info. Like daddio said, this is not a typical problem.
