Message: i bought my 1998 Dakota CC 4x4 auto 5.2L in december of 2005. it had 48,000 miles on it when i bought it. i have 73,500 on it now and i love this truck! i have had no problems with it all other than a couple that were my fault from some rought off roading adventures. and this was merely one hub-bearing that started whining and i wore out my tie-rod ends a little prematurely. this truck is great in the snow and on the road during daily driving and it handles the muck and mire pretty admirably as well. the only complaint i have is that is absolutely BLOWS on gas. i average 14.5 mpg whether local or highway. about 270-300 miles per tank. but overall if you buy this truck and it works out as good as mine, then you will never regret it!

Message: I too have a 98' CC 4x4. Had about 50k on it when I bought it and about 100k now. Been one of the best trucks I've ever had, but are known for ball joint failure. Yes, mileage sux, and don't seem to matter how they're driven. Great truck overall though.:>)
