Message: It will most likely have the LT1 engine in tit and stock auto will run like JimC said about somewhere like a 14.7 or 14.8 or even a mid 14 but there not too terribly fast a moddified RC RT can hang with it.

Message: Gee, a TransAm w/ t-tops, your parents don't sound all that bad.
I guess that it's a good thing that you didn't beat the hell out of them with a baseball bat like you said you wanted to do.

Message: It depends on what motor it has in it. Run a Vin check at thirdgen.org, to see if it's a 305 or a 350. It's not an LT1, they didn't come out until the 4thgen '93-up in the fbody, the Vettes had the LT1 in 91-92 I believe. The TPI is a good motor, lots of low end torque, with a few mmods either the 305 or 350 will run high 14's low 15's. depending on gearing. Have fun with it, mods are easy to do, a cam, headers and a catback will really wake it up along with a set of gears. Check out thirdgen.org, tons of good info there for you to read up on!
