Message: And real quick, I saw that hypertech has all the things i'm looking for has far as changing shift points and shift firmness and superchips doesn't, But I saw that hypertech doesn't have a 3.9 modifer. So theres where I am on the subject now i just need everyone else opinion.

Message: The superchips works fine and does improve the shifts. I am running the max performance setting that is susposed to rquire 91 octane. Mine seems to run fine on 89 octane but will ping like crazy on 87 octane.

Message: I can't warn you enough to be careful if you buy one of these online. Reason is, it may need to be reprogrammed for your engine/year. If you buy it from someone who has a receipt from an authorized dealer, no problem, you will have to send it back to whomever you bought it from and have them send it in to superchips to have them update it. They will not do the update for anyone but the original purchaser and the purchase must have been from an AUTHORIZED dealer, not some group buy or whatever. I bought one before online from someone who didn't buy it form an authorized dealer and long story short he was cool and gave me my money back. I bought another one online from someone, they at least had the receipt and I was able to send it back to them for reprogramming. So watch out where you buy it, or make sure your seller will help you out.

Message: is there any downloadable software that I can use with my laptop to read/adjust my computer? I have seen those tuners on TV with their laptops in the passenger seat, and it seems that it would be a natural to use one myself. I expect that it would be able to download the native PCM code, and then upload your own changes.
I have been unable to find anything on google (or any other search engine) but it could be I am not looking for the right thing.
