Message: alright i have looked threw the old posts but never really got what i needed. i hear every one talkin about the 3 inch exhuast making them lose low end tq. is the lowend loss compairiable to what you would gain in the top end for hp? im not talkin about daily driving i could care less about that. but at the track would there be a differnce? if im correct in 92/93 v6's ran 3 inch exhaust and were rated at 180 hp and ??? tq now the 3.9 daks are rated at 175 hp. wheres the diffrence? has to b the change in exhaust size. can any one clear this up for me?

Message: Has more to do with older uses EGR
96 to 200X don't
and the different PCM computer
Also the newer 3.9's have a ' retarded '
spark timing
See krcperformance .com for mod to improve..

Message: The 92 and 93 3.9 had bigger better flowing
exhaust manifolds that is where the 5 hp came from
the top end gains around 5 hp on a 3" system is
not worth the low end loss and unnessasary unless
you are running a turbo S/C or nitrious
A good high flow cat and low restriction muff is
all you need, headers will help if the intake side
is improved but not before
Bigger tb, cold air and 1.7 rollers, optional
manifold port match
