Message: Yeah the other day I raced a RC 2004 F-150 and did an 40 punch and barley beat him...we stop at 75 and he asked if II had a V8...LMAO...NO and he drove off pissed...funny those things are tanks....but he pulled up next to me to race...so he had it coming...although He had the 5.4L motor and I had no idea what it would do against my dakota....so it was worth the try.

Message: Im not talking smack, but why even race with a 3.9? I have one and the SOB cant seem to get out of its own way. Do your bolt-ons help out that much to the stock motor? If so I might add em' on too.

Message: Advertisement on the muffler website that says, "Gain up to 25 HP!"
175 HP + 25 HP = 200 HP
Sticker on the K&N filter box says, "Gain up to 10 HP!"
200 HP + 10 HP = 210 HP

Message: don't believe everything you read unless a dyno chart was given for your specific application and engine and transmission
"adds UP TO" doesn't mean it adds the number quoted the number they gave was for some other vehicle other than yours i bet
a dyno will tell you what you have maybe a gtec too not guessing

Message: first off i used to race my dad's 95 f150 ex cab (302 v8) all the time and i consistantly blew him away even stock!!! one of my friends at work, talks smack about my dak. he drives a 99 f150 ex cab 4x4 with the 4.6L. i shouldnt even waste my gas on that race, i should win!!!
justin those 4.0 rangers are pretty quick. my cousin had a 00 4x4, and it came stock with a 4:10 rear end. he never challenged me, (thank god LOL) but i rode along a few times. that lil truck could scoot!!
the reason the autolite 3923 plugs are used by alot of dak owners, is that they are one heat range cooler. this helps to reduce detonation, by reducing the combustion chamber temp. i would imagine you could use any brand one heat range colder, but the autolites are just so darn cheap. and they last!!
just my .02
oh btw i got my a$$ handed to me by an older mustang GT yesterday (mid to late 80s) i dont think it was a 302. didnt they put the 351 in the gt model? it was a manual too... truly a sad day :-(
its pretty bad when you are giving it your all, and the guy just passes you like you are holding your speed!
sorry so long i couldnt stop typing LOL!!
