Subject: S-Bolt Dyno Tests???

Message:
Has Anyone ever Dyno tested an S-Bolt Mod before? I,m a little curious if it makes any difference whatsoever. I've heard conflicting stories in many different post on S-Bolt Mods. Some say It doesn't make any difference at all, some say a slight increase, and even one that says it will give you 5 extra HP from the better air flow. Also, since Speadtweaks.com is no longer. Is there another site that list all the different mods that can be done to a V-6. Thanks

I laugh when people list that they have done an "s bolt mod"
because it's only for people who have modified their air intake
with another type of air hat and/or throttle body such that the
stock bolt will no longer screw the air hat down onto the throttle
body. People don't just go out and bend a piece of 1/4 20 metal
rod seeking some mysterious power gain. You do it because
you have to; it's the only way to mount the air hat IMHO.

As far as your other question try www.speedtweaks.ca they have
an excellent list of all the things you can do on your truck.
