Message: I have a 99 3.9 V6 at around 100K miles that vibrates pretty bad when I'm around 70-78 mph. For a while I thought it was a busteed U-joint, but it gets worse when I let off the gas, and it goes away when I get up to about 80-85. It's starting to happen around 65-70 mph now. Any suggestions???

Message: Ok, I'll take a guess, if not u-joints could it be driveshaft damage? Something seems out of balance to me.

Message: I have a 1993 club cab Dakota that had the same promblem. I brought it used and when had it for a while I something hitting the driveshaft it was the center support bearning bracket when ask about they told me that there was a problem with the 2 piece driveshafts. So finale after trying everthing else I put 2 piece driveshaft in my Dakota and the vibration is gone. I have ran it up to 90-100mph and no noise. hope this helps
