Subject: Timing Chain Tensioner IP: Logged
Message: I am a little leary of doing the procedure myself (no good work area, or tools at the moment) but would sure like to get rid of all the noise. Anyone have an estimate of what a dealership would charge to have this done? Parts seem relatively cheap. How many hours to just change the chain and tensioner (no idexing...)?
Thanks guys,
J-Man

Message: Don't take it to the dealer, the dealer wanted to charge me 250 for parts and 300 for labor. I got the parts for less then a 100 and did it in like 4 hours or less in the garage. dealers are not the way to go on that one...by the way, get a double roller chain, it won't stretch on you again.
