 Subject: exhaust in cab after MSD install

I recently installed an MSD6a in a 98 dak. I had autolite 3923's gapped to .060". I didn't have any exhaust problems.
I felt like I wasn't getting the power and acceleration I thought I should be getting so I removed the plugs and bought the standard range champion truck plugs gapped at .050". (I asked both champion and autolite, and the guys at O'reilly and Autozone what they recommended for the msd and they all said standard range not gapped more than .010" over stock, the colder plugs would be if you did more than just the air mods)
Now i have crazy power and acceleration and loving it! But now, I feel as though I could die if I don't keep the windows down because the fumes are getting into the cab.
What gives? The only thing I can think it would be is that one of the header bolts with the shield on it appears to broken. Would one loose bolt cause such a problem?
Could my cat be backed up from the misfires due to the over gapped too cold autolites?
The exhaust smell, which has a hint of gas to it, seems to be fading the more i drive it, either that or I'm loosing brain cells.
OHHHH yeah, my mpg hasn't change even though I have better power and acceleration. It's pure crappo, why would i still have poor gas milage?

No, i haven't moved the IAT, I'm too kewl for that.
TBS mod.. not any longer! If you have one that makes a springy noise when you shake it, it's BAD! do not use!! (drilling out the metal spacer causes harmful vibes, it's just bad mojo i tell ya) It shouldn't make a sound! It will cause your engine to misfire or lope due to random extra squirts of gas. READ your haynes manual. Or, just listen to my truck.
