Message: "Fake" Dual Exhaust is when you have your Headers connected to a Y pipe which then goes to the cat and then to the muffler, the muffler would have 2 pipes comming out of it. This is what you see on most trucks with Dual Exhaust. "True" Dual Exhaust would have the headears each flowing into their own cat and their own muffer.

Message: yeah i second JFH about the exhaust, but if your thinking of getting true dual on your v6 i have herd per this site thats not such a hot idea.(loss of low end torque) the v6 already has the v8 exhaust system muffler, pipes, and cat i just did what everyone seemed to recommend i just got another muffler welded in place of my stock one (glasspack) it sounds okay until around 4,000 then it starts to sound kinda ricey LoL but i dont really drive around 4k unless im passing so oh well it has a good deep sound at idle
hope my input helped

Message: I kept all the pipes stock and added a flowmaster Delta flow 40 series. This has great sound! I do not recommend the "True" Dual exhaust either because of both low end torque and sound. Unless you add an H or X pipe the exhaust would sound like two 3cyl engines rather than a 6

Message: I once made a V-8 Chevelle sound like a helicopter by screwing
with the exhaust a long time ago. I wish I could remember how I
had that hooked up.

Message: wow that must have been cool
maybe i can find a better muffler to use. i want something thats as deep or deeper sounding and slightly louder than my glasspak, (i already made it slightly louder by waiting about 10,000 miles and shooting a lil bit of water up the tailpipe with a garden hose. (not too much it didnt hurt anything) to wash some of the glass pieces out.
how would a flowmaster sound i just dont want something that drones too much on the highway even most all performance mufflers do. i have also herd good things about gibson.
thanks for your input
Dan
