Subject: trucks gonna kill me IP: Logged
Message: i have a 99 3.9 cc 4x4.my truck will floor itself every couple of months for no reason.i have to throw it in neutral then shut it off.after that its all good till the next time.it will accelarate hard cause nomatter how fast i put in neutral it bounces off the rev limiter.this must be sensor,but which one and how di check it?

Message: Check the TPS Throttle position sensor drivers
side of throttle body.
Center wire and ground key on engine not running
throttle closed should be around .35 to .75 and
gradualy go up as throttle opens but no more than
4.8 at WOT wide open throttle. $29 Autozone made
by wells and a good part.
When my origanal went it would rev 2500 and stay
there every time you just touched the gas.
