Subject: Gibson or JBA headers IP: Logged
Message: I am wondering which ones I should purchase for my 02 3.9L Dak. Any feedback on which ones perform better and which ones are liked by you Dak owners?

Message: Gibson makes headers for the 3.9l??? Here I thought that JBA was the only one unless you wanted to make them yourself...
How much does Gibson charge for their headers???

Message: $359.00 for the chrome one's isn't bad at all considering the JBA's are 4 or 5 something for the treated one's... Don't happen to know what guage steel they are do you??? Wonder how much chrome they actually have on them and how they would last against the heat and so forth... Well, I guess that's what you were asking in the original post though weren't you :)) Thanks for letting me in on this... Now all I have to do is a little more research... I bet there are some others out there too that we just don't reallize...

Message: Gibson and JBA are almost identical in looks and
would bet the performance is very close to the
same on both.
I have also installed a few sets of the V6 headers
made by summit or eldebrock from summit they came
with a bigger Y pipe included but I think they
have discontinued making them, These were on the
pre mag trucks

Message: Looks like the Gibson's are only available for the 2WD. Does anybody know the difference between the 2WD and 4WD header?
Thanks,
